Tuesday, October 03, 2006 Travel Agency Service Fee Increase
Effective October 1, 2006, all contract travel agencies, including Expedia Corporate Travel, have increased their booking fees by $2 per ticket. This across-the-board increase is the result of new agreements between airlines and travel agencies. The new arrangement, though more expensive, enhances the level of content travel agencies receive through the computer systems that distribute airline tickets.
This increase applies only to airline tickets. USC's contracted travel agencies still do not charge for booking hotels and rental cars.
