Travel to countries which are subject to U.S. Federal government sanctions require legal review and pre-approval from the Office of the General Counsel. The details of this new policy are in a memo issued by Senior Vice President Dennis Dougherty and Provost Lloyd Armstrong (August 24, 2004).
