The mission of Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) is to oversee post award administration of sponsored research for the University.

In order to successfully achieve our duties, SPA abides by the 3 E's of Excellence.

  • Effectively manage awards for compliance with Federal, State, and Private agency fiscal and reporting guidelines, University policy and procedures, and with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ensure the payment of obligations and the collection of funds with an efficient cash management system.
  • Encourage and facilitate proper management of sponsored funds through training and development, streamlined financial systems, and high professional standards.

We are committed to uphold the highest standards of administration for sponsored research through a strong support based on ethical practices, fiscal compliance, and efficient services.

 

 

Announcements

Upcoming Due Date for SPA Kuali JV eDocs:

  • For May 2016, submit by Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12PM (Noon).
  • For June 2016, submit by Monday, June 27, 2016 at 12PM (Noon).
  • For 13 Series 2016, submit by Monday, July 18, 2016 at 12PM (Noon).

Year End SPA Budget Reallocation (YESR):

Just a friendly reminder, budget reallocations for fiscal period 13 must be posted under the Year End SPA Budget Reallocation eDoc, which is locate in KFS, under the Financial Main Menu tab, and under the Year End Transactions section (located at the bottom of the page).

Kuali Payroll Expense Transfer (PET):

The Kuali PET eDoc will close on July 12, 2016 at 5PM for Fiscal Year 2016 and will reopen on July 25, 2016 for Fiscal Year 2017.
