Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make changes (payment type and method, bank accounts, budgeted amount, etc.) to my Payment Plan?

Changing Payment Entry Method:

There are two options for payment on payment plans: Automatic and Manual payment entry. When you enroll in payment plan you will choose a payment entry method, however this can be changed again later by going back into USCe.pay.

  • Automatic payments require the storage of banking account information you wish to use on a monthly basis (this information is stored and governed by PCI Compliance requirements).
Changing Bank Account Numbers on a Payment Plan:
  • Click 'Edit' under 'Auto Payment' box and update the payment information.  You may also 'Delete' a saved payment method.

Please be sure that any account changes are done prior to the due date to avoid penalties.

Changing a Payment Plan Budget:

Students and guests do not have the ability to increase or decrease the total payment plan amount once they have enrolled. It is very important to establish a good budget by using the payment calculator online. It is also important to enroll in all of the classes you plan to take for the term in order to establish the correct tuition rate and help you assess your budget needs.

In some unforeseen cases an increase or decrease to a USC Payment Plan budget may be accomplished by contacting the Student Financial Services office at 213-740-4077. Their office is located in Parking Structure B (PSB). You will need to provide a signed letter stating the amount of increase or decrease and will be required to sign a new Terms and Conditions for the increase or decrease. Or, you may submit an online Payment Plan Change Request stating the amount of increase or decrease.

After a change in payment plan budget, the amount of future monthly payments due will reflect the increase or decrease in the overall payment plan budget.  The online Payment Plan Change Request form may also be used to cancel a payment plan, however, please be sure to read the Payment Plan Terms & Conditions before you cancel a payment plan.
