How can I change my ( Billing ) Address?

Please note that email has been adopted as the primary mechanism for sending official communications to USC students. Students, therefore, must check their official USC email accounts (end in "@usc.edu") regularly in order to stay abreast of important messages and notifications. Failure to read official university communications sent to students' official email addresses does not absolve students from knowing and complying with the content of official communications.

For more information on the university's email policy, please refer to "Computing Policies" under the "University Governance" section in SCampus (http://www.usc.edu/scampus).

BILLING address:

If there is a billing address, and it is valid, the billing address will only be used for official mailings such as: bills mailed to former students who have left USC owing (or owed) money and 1098-T / 1098-E tax documents. The billing address will be used year-round, instead of the LOCAL or PERMANENT addresses.

To change or correct a billing address, a student may:

  • Login to OASIS or myUSC and select the USCe.pay service, go to the PROFILE page and Add /or/ Update the Billing Address (billing address updates are not available to guest users)
  • Call the Cashier's Office at (213) 740-7471
  • See any Cashier's Office employee (KOH 200), please provide a positive form of identification.
  • See any Student Financial Services employee (PSB Lobby), please provide a positive form of identification.

 

Note: If you live in USC Housing:
Housing Services periodically provides the Student Information System with the addresses of students living in USC housing facilities. Since your LOCAL address is defined as the address where you are staying while attending school, an address provided by Housing will replace any other LOCAL address you may have provided. 

LOCAL and PERMANENT address:

LOCAL address is used for mail during the school year (August through April), when there is not a valid billing address.

PERMANENT address is used for mail during the summer (May through July), when there is not a valid billing address.

To change or correct a permanent or local address in-person:

  • use OASIS or the "TOUCH USC" Kiosk
  • go to the SAS Lobby and complete a Change of Address form
  • most departments have access to correct/change student addresses

All requests must be accompanied by a positive form of identification. The process typically takes 2 to 3 business days.
