Why are you contacting me if my parents are the ones who pay my tuition and fees?
When you register for classes at USC, you are personally agreeing to be held solely responsible for all tuition and fees. (Please refer to a subsection entitled "Obligation For Payment" in the "Tuition and Fees" section of the "Schedule of Classes").
Parents may volunteer to pay, and we may accept payment from them on that basis, but we may only ask for payment from the student. If your parents have an email address, you may have e-bill notices sent directly to their email address by setting them up as a Guest User on OASIS or USCe.pay, granting them access to your account.
United States Federal Law requires that before we discuss the details of your student account with anyone other than you, we must have on file a document commonly known as a "Buckley Waiver". You use this form to grant us permission to discuss your account with any designated person or persons, including your parents, guardian, spouse, etc. Completing this waiver is voluntary, and will remain in effect until or unless you rescind it in writing. You may also grant access to your online information by setting guests up as Guest Users on OASIS or USCe.pay.
Note: A Buckley Waiver or OASIS guest access is required for us to discuss your account with anyone other than you.
Granting Parents & Other Guests online access to your student account:
Please note that STUDENTS are the only ones with the ability to give guests "user access" for student accounts, and are responsible for setting up guest access and notifying guests of their login id and password. Guest user id's may only be linked to one specific student account. If for any reason you subsequently decide to cancel a guest user's access to your account, you may do so at any time.
- OASIS guest access:
You may grant access to all of your education records by setting up an OASIS guest account. This authorizes your guest to access your information through OASIS and also authorizes us to disclose information directly to your guest. Guest profiles can also be set up to authorize monthly e-bill notices to be sent to your guest's email account.
- USCe.pay guest access:
You may grant online access to your student account financial records only, by setting up a USCe.pay guest user account. This authorization is limited to the pages you specify on the USCe.pay guest user profile. This does not authorize us to disclose your information to your guest. Guest profiles can also be set up to authorize monthly e-bill notices to be sent to your guest's email account.
