Frequently Asked Questions

When will my tuition & fees for next semester show on my student account?

If you have registered early for Fall / Spring semesters, your tuition and fees will usually not be charged to your student account right away. Fall / Spring tuition and fees will be charged to your student account approximately one month before the semester's tuition due date. Summer tuition and fees will be charged to your student account as soon as you register for any summer classes.

The exact amount of your tuition and fees depends on your program, the session in which you are enrolling, and the specific classes you are taking. Some classes at USC require lab fees, which can vary a great deal depending upon the materials used in the class. For this reason, we cannot predict what your bill will be. The rates for most of the sessions offered are published in the Schedule of Classes, as are the standard fees. If you will be enrolling in a session that does not have rates published, you should contact the academic unit offering the classes for more information.

FALL / SPRING TERMS:
If you need your charges to appear on a billing statement before the due date,
please be sure to register at least 40 days in advance of the start of classes.
If you enroll or have a change of program after early registration
which results in additional charges to your student account,
you will not receive a printed billing statement before the registration / payment deadline.
These additional charges must be paid by Friday of the same week in which they were incurred
or they may be subject to late payment fees.

SUMMER TERM:
For summer classes, charges are posted to your student account at the time of registration.
These summer charges will be billed on the next billing statement and are due by the due date on the statement regardless of when classes actually start.
