Surplus Sales Advertises "Hot" Deals Online
It is no coincidence that most university departments do their "spring cleaning" near fiscal year-end. This is typically when departments get rid of late model computers, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, etc., to make room for new arrivals.
It is also no coincidence that the departments take most of these "previously owned" items to Surplus Sales. Ernie Carbajal, Manager of Surplus Sales, then resells these surplus items according to university policy. In return, departments benefit from services such as door-to-door pick-up and delivery, as well as earning a commission from the proceeds of the sale.
The latest enhancement to the Surplus Sales operation is the Trojan Surplus eFlyer web site. This online "circular" highlights the most notable items available for sale. Surplus Sales launched the Trojan Surplus eFlyer at the end of April—just in time to feature all the new arrivals from the spring-cleaning frenzy.
By the way, Surplus Sales is open five days a week (excluding university holidays), and anyone is welcome to shop there—whether they be students, faculty, staff, or the general public. So, since one man's trash is another man's treasure, check out the Trojan Surplus eFlyer at www.usc.edu/purchasing/surplus/eflyer.
Surplus Sales is located at 3401 South Grand Avenue. For more information, please call 213-743-4512, or visit www.usc.edu/purchasing/surplus.
