To help identify misclassified workers before the paperwork leaves your department, the departments of Business Services have made some modifications to the independent contractor engagement process (www.usc.edu/dc/ic, Quick Reference Guide to Independent Contractor Forms and Processes). We have added a box on the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) form for the requesting department’s human resources representative. As of July 1, all ICA forms must bear that signature or they will be returned to the department as incomplete.
