Storage

    Mailing and Material Management Services (MMMS) provides short term storage to University departments who may be in need of such service. Non-hazardous materials can be stored for a minimum period of 3 months. Storage in our warehouse is provided depending on space availability.
   
Cost

A cost of $0.90 per SF with a minimum of 16sf will be charged for the use of our warehouse
storage.

Dimension and Weight Restriction

Packages of up to 1000 lbs and average size of 4' H x 4' W x 4' L, that may be handled with a fork lift or pallet jack. If dimension and weight restrictions are exceeded please contact the Facilities Management Customer Service for package handling.

Pick-up and Deliveries in excess of 200 lbs to and from buildings without elevators will require Facilities Management Services to transport the item(s).

Other Restriction

Packages which require special handling, special care, fragile may also be stored upon request in advance at which time MMMS will visit the location of such item(s) and make the determination of the possibility of handling/storing such item(s).

Pick-up and Re-Delivery

Requests for pick-up and re-delivery of stored items should be made 2 working days in advance.

Any request for items to be picked-up and re-delivered within 3 months, should be coordinated
through the Facilities Management Department.

Any request for items to be picked-up and redelivered after the minimum period of 3 months,
will be coordinated by the Mailing and Material Management Services.

Access to Stored Items

MMMS would like departments to call in advance to notify us when access to stored items is needed.

Hazardous Materials

NO Hazardous Materials will be stored in our warehouse. These included but are not limited to the following:
Poisons, corrosives, inhalation poisons, dangerous when wet, compress gasses, solvents, oils and any item or substance considered a Hazardous material and labeled as such.

Departmental Inspections

MMMS encourages departments to periodically inspect their assigned
storage area for items that can be dispose of.
