The University promotes the use of small businesses located in one of the 26 targeted zip codes surrounding the University Park Campus, Health Sciences, Alhambra Campus and Marina del Rey Campus.

Use of these small local suppliers contributes to:

USC’s goal of spending 15% of the University's purchasing dollar volume with Diverse Suppliers.
Economic development in the USC local business communities.

Note: Any Person who misrepresents a firm's status as a small or Diverse Supplier in order to obtain a university contract shall: (1) be punished by imposition of fine, imprisonment, or both; (2) be subject to administrative remedies, including suspension and debarment; and (3) be ineligible for participation in future contracts (Ref. FAR 52.219-1 (c), 15 U.S.C. 645 (d).
