Friday, August 01, 2008 New Travel Plus Card Policy
Posted on the University's policy website are new Travel Card Policies and Procedures (Administrative and Business Practices: www.usc.edu/policies). One material change was introduced in the policy that was not previously part of the Travel Card User's Guide. I have described the material change below. In the past, a User's Guide served as a cardholder's principal reference. The availability of formal policies and procedures will help ensure that the growing population of cardholders will have a successful Travel Card experience. (Thanks in large part to the support from the Senior Business Officer Community, the Travel Card program has grown by 52% over the last two years, and now includes 1,800 cardholders!) If you have questions about the new Travel Card Policies and Procedures, please post them to my blog. There you'll see my responses to questions, along with Q&As from other Staff members: www.usc.edu/bservices/blog. Material Change:
- Training for all new Travel Cardholders is mandatory.
New cardholder training is on-line and takes approximately 30 minutes. The training is user-friendly and is designed to further improve a cardholder's understanding of the Travel Card program. A non-credit version of the on-line training is posted as a reference on the Travel Card website: www.usc.edu/travel/pluscard. I hope the new policies and procedures will be a useful tool for you.
